Working from home? Here's how to make it easy for yourself

Make working from home easier?

Are you also working from home for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus pandemic? Chances are the place you're currently working all day is less ergonomic than the office. You might also be getting less exercise than you normally would when you go to the office. This will likely make your body feel less comfortable, but luckily, we have solutions!

Products for working from home

  • Use a small ball that you can place behind your back to prevent your spine from resting stiffly against a hard backrest all day. Fill the ball with some air, creating a slightly rounded shape at the front, making it easy to place between your back and chair. You'll notice this keeps your spine much more flexible, and it takes longer before it starts to feel stiff. Want to know which ball is suitable for this? Soft Ball The ball used in many sports classes, especially Pilates, is ideal for this. This ball has excellent anti-slip properties, so it doesn't slide around easily. You'll find that when using a regular ball, it slips easily and is therefore much less effective.
  • Don't sit stiffly on your chair all day, but alternate this with a Swiss BallThis is also called a yoga ball or exercise ball. It's round, which challenges your balance more, so you can't hide in your inner panda pose all day. 😉 Plus, this exercise ball has good anti-slip properties, so it stays put easily when you sit on it. It also makes it easy to do a few quick exercises in between. And you've got that handy!
  • Another option to sit less stiffly on your chair is a balance cushionBy sitting here, you're also working on your balance and therefore your core. This also benefits your posture and anti-stiffness. 😉
