Education for your instructors
At Yoga-Pilatesshop, we also offer training for your instructors. Looking for someone to handle the training for you? Then read on!
We understand that besides high-quality reformers, it's just as important to properly train your instructors so your clients truly experience the difference. That's why we offer an introductory training course on the reformer.
Introductory Training Reformer: Two Variants
- A training just for you instructors.
- A combined group of instructors from different companies.
The design of both variants is the same: Afterwards the instructors can independently teach a reformer class.
We are happy to provide your trainers with an introductory training on the reformer. We will discuss the following, among other things:
- During the introductory training we will cover, among other things:
- Reformer exercises for basic and intermediate classes
- The most important Pilates principles
- Adjustments for common injuries
- Essential Teaching and Safety Principles
Now also possible: customized in-house training
With in-house courses, we tailor the content even more specifically to the needs of your instructors, ensuring the offering is optimally tailored to your studio or organization.
From theory to independent teaching
The goal is for instructors to independently teach a reformer class after the training. Instructors will explain how a reformer works, which exercises are included in a class (exercises for the abs, back, arms, legs, and stretches), the Pilates principles, common injuries, how to adapt the exercise accordingly for the participant, and which safety principles should always be observed.
During the training days, trainers are expected to teach both in class and to each other under the supervision of a teacher. They are also expected to review the exercises and practice frequently on others and on themselves in addition to the lessons. They are also expected to observe reformer classes to fully develop their "teacher's eye.".
Each day of the course, the instructor will review the exercises and participants will practice them both individually and with each other. The training is spread over five half-day sessions. The final half-day can be concluded with a teaching exam and, if desired, a test to further assess the candidate's knowledge and expertise.
The training can be given from both a traditional and a contemporary approach.
Costs and follow-up options
The costs are €895 per participant (excluding VAT, food, and manual, including coffee, tea, and water). The manual will be provided at the start of the training. A re-examination costs €79 per time. Afterwards, it is possible to further train teachers, both online and face-to-face.
Other information
If desired, meals and/or overnight stays can be provided for participants. Lunch and dinner can be provided either at the training location or at an external location. It is also possible to follow part of the training online.
The introductory training is offered for groups of at least five and no more than eight participants. The quote assumes that the instructors have experience with Pilates or a related discipline. The times of day the classes take place will be determined in consultation with you.
